Our neighborhood is outstanding. The house is just three doors east of home plate at Willowbranch Park. Willowbranch is a great urban park with two ball fields, and active basketball courts, a playground, walking paths with bridges over the branch. Its also adjacent to Willowbranch Library, one of the best in the city. We often walk to the park and library. The library has a great staff and programming including bed time stories in for the kids. If you see us walking in our pjs now you know why. In the fall you are reminded its football season by the Lee High School band which practices in the park. Now we can hear the ding of the bat. Basketball seems to be a year round attraction.
If you have never lived in a walkable neighborhood contemplate walking to almost everything. The Park and King neighborhood is rapidly becoming one of the best entertainment urban areas of the city. Within an easy walk you'll find a ton of restaurants, including Sumo Sushi! Cool Moose Coffee, European Street, City Cycle, Cycledelic Fixity, Universe of Superheroes Comics, tons of antiques. Bars too! And for some crazy reason Kickbacks sports bar is open at 7 am and closes at 3am. Thats 20 hours of lots of beers on tap and food. St Vincent Medical Center is just down the street and there are two drugstores at Park and King. Lots of close really great churches. Walk to the Lutheran Church on the other side of Willowbranch Park to vote!
